A browser mastering tool: load a song and it analyses it and sets up a mastering that suits it.
01What is AetherMaster 5
AetherMaster 5 finishes a stereo mix to release loudness and tone.
Automatic analysis and setup: it measures loudness, low/high balance, dynamics, tempo, bass type, persistent resonances and harshness in loud parts. From these it sets every module and explains why.
Guided by typical masters: the amount of treble (above 5 kHz and at 9–10 kHz) and how far resonances stick out are kept within the range typical masters show.
Runs entirely in your browser: your audio is never uploaded.
Two modes: AUTO (tap a genre and your taste) and CUSTOM (every parameter).
02Getting started
Load a song: drop a file on the page or press "Choose a file". Supported formats are WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus and AIFF. Analysis takes a few seconds to a few tens of seconds.
Listen and compare: Space plays; B (or the Master/Original button) switches to the untouched source. Adjust with a genre or your taste in AUTO mode.
Export: choose the sample rate (44.1 / 48 kHz) and the format (WAV 16-bit / WAV 24-bit / MP3 320 kbps) from "Export".
Tip: the auto target is -10.8 LUFS / -1.0 dBTP (-10.0 for 808 hip-hop, -13 for ballads).
03The screen
Top bar: status, presets and taste learning (07), export (08).
Transport: play/stop and position.
Master/Original: the original plays at its own level, usually quieter. Judge the tone, not the volume.
Spectrum: the live spectrum, over the whole-song average spectra of the source and the master. Both are matched to the target loudness, so only the tone difference shows.
Meters:
Short-term (3 s) LUFS with the target;
Momentary (0.4 s);
Peak;
gain reduction of the glue compressor and the limiter.

Genres
Eight genres move the loudness, the low/high balance and the width toward the genre. The genre marked ★ is the one guessed from the analysis.
The moves are sized to the song, so a song that already fits the genre moves little. Very dynamic songs stop at -11 LUFS.

Suggestions and taste
Suggestions come from the analysis, each with a reason. Each tap adds one step.
Eight taste axes go up to 3 steps each way. Tapping the other side walks back one step.
Three fixes (harsh, muddy, fizzy) go light → medium → strong; × removes one.
Each tap moves several sliders by amounts fitted to the song.
↶ Undo (Ctrl+Z) steps back; ↺ Reset returns to the auto settings.
05CUSTOM mode
The top panel shows the diagnosis and the reason for each auto setting. The modules are:
Tone;
Manual EQ (4 bands, also draggable on the graph);
Dynamic EQ (loud-moment-only cuts);
Punch (transients below 150 Hz);
Glue;
Colour/Space;
Stereo;
Loudness.
The cyan tick marks the auto value.
↺ or double-clicking a label resets that item.
ON/OFF bypasses a module.
"Bypass all" leaves only the loudness limiter.
06Loudness lock
When it is on, the output stays at the target integrated LUFS while you edit. You then hear tone changes, not level changes. Exports always hit the target.
07Presets and taste learning
Presets are stored in this browser (localStorage).
Taste learning: when it is on, each export learns how far you moved from the auto settings. The next song's auto settings follow that. "Reset learning" clears it.

Formats:
WAV 16-bit (TPDF dither), for CD and streaming;
WAV 24-bit, for archiving;
MP3 320 kbps (lamejs), for sharing.
Sample rate: 44.1 or 48 kHz.
The whole song is rendered, then checked against the target LUFS and the true-peak ceiling.
The measured kHz / LUFS / dBTP are shown when it finishes.

Space: play/stop.
B: Master/Original.
Ctrl/⌘+Z: undo.
